Today: Fr David Carter from the Columbans is here to celebrate Mass and to make an appeal. He worked for 20 years among tribal people in South Pakistan. Please give generously.

New Parish Priest: The diocese has appointed Fr Michael Amalados as the new parish priest for Holy Redeemer and St Joseph’s, Warndon. He will take up his new ministry some time in September. Please pray for him as he takes up his ministry among us.

During August there will be no Mass on Fridays.

Please pray for the sick and/or housebound: Elena Petta, Pat Sanger, Alfred & Mary Waring, Mary Jenkins, Rev Jim Gilligan, Hannah Bratt, Rachael Nielsen, Sarah Cole, Helen Abbott, Richard Milnes, Alexander Pelech, David Middleton, George Morris, John Allison, and Sandra Bryer.

Please also pray for rest and refreshment for everyone on holiday right now.

Collections 21 July: Offertory £193.25 (non-Gift Aid £176.18). Today’s Second Collection is for the Columban mission appeal.

Thank you: Ann Fallon would wishes to thank everyone for the prayers for her grand-daughter Hannah. Please do look at Ann’s note which is on the board at the back of church.

Out of touch: Please note that due to work by engineers in the Presbytery, phone and internet connection will be unavailable from 1–6 August. If you need anything in an emergency, phone Deacon Pat.

Money for Honey Thank you to Nikki Garrad who has kindly given jars of her delicious honey for sale at the back of church. There are still a couple left. The money for this goes to the Development Fund.

Our Best Kept Secret is our Youth Club. Did you know it is the best attended youth group in the whole Archdiocese with many of the young people now bringing their non-Catholic friends? It meets on the second Sunday of the month in the hall. We badly need more adult leaders so, even if you can only help occasionally, please see Christine or Deacon Pat to find out more.

Forgotten to do it? If you are on any of our rotas and haven’t filled in a GDPR form, please do so as soon as possible. Those who have not done so will find an envelope with your name on it at the back of church. If you are not sure whether you did or didn’t have a look. If there’s no envelope there for you you’ve already done it!

Can you help every couple of weeks by giving about half an hour to clean the brass in the church (around the font, the tabernacle and sometimes the candles)? It won’t take long and it helps to spread the load.

Please help the Food Bank which has this week issued an appeal for biscuits, chocolate bars, dog food, rice, sugar (small bags please), tinned oranges, long life fruit juice and shampoo. Box for donations at the back. Thank you for your support.

Wedding: Robert and Christine Hares would like to invite all parishioners to join them this Thursday (1 August) at The Chase Inn, Upper Colwall, Malvern from 7 pm onwards, to celebrate the marriage of their daughter Maria Thompson to Stuart Adams. All are welcome.

If you didn’t get a copy of the prayer Fr Amal sent last week there are copies at the back of church.
